Sina Palazzo Sant'Angelo
S. Marco, 3878b, 30124 Venezia VE, ItalyWhy We Like It
Though it may not be the snazziest place in Venice nor have the most amenities, what Sina Palazzo Sant’Angelo does have is loads of charm. Its smaller size means more personalized service, and its location still on the canal but away from the masses means you can truly feel like you’re getting away, even though Venice’s attractions are well within reach.
Fodor's Expert Review
Position on the Grand Canal: check. Cute rooms with character: check. Bar to savor an Aperol spritz alongside the water: check. This comfortable hotel may be a tad farther from the main attractions than some (though well within walking distance), but its intimate size, quiet location, and friendly staff give it immediate cred.
You Should Know Though still in the San Marco sestiere, the hotel is away from the bustle of the Piazza San Marco area—great if you want more quiet, but not so great if you like being in the center of the action.

Room
The décor in all rooms is alike, done up in rich red and gold with pretty striped wallpaper and carpets.
Tip All Deluxe Suites (along with one Exclusive Junior Suite) have balconies overlooking the Grand Canal; otherwise, you’ll have to settle for either courtyard or side canal views.
Bathroom
All bathrooms—even in the smallest “Classic” rooms—are lined with marble and have Jacuzzi tubs, perfect for a soak after a long day of Venice strolling.
Lobby
The Palazzo Sant’Angelo’s lobby and sitting room, with elegant tile floors and wood furniture, are super-cute places to chill.
Dining
There’s no restaurant (or room service), but venturing out to Venice for a meal is not such a bad thing. At least breakfast is included in the rates, with a well-stocked buffet each morning to tide you over.
Drinking
The small bar overlooking the canal is perfect for an apertivo before heading to dinner.
What's Nearby
Getting Around
The Sant’Angelo vaporetto stop is two minutes away from the hotel, so it’s easy to sail anywhere around Venice or directly to the airport. There’s also a traghetto stop around the corner to take you across the water to San Polo. Otherwise, most Venice sights are an easy walk away.
Restaurants
Trattoria da Fiore (2-minute walk) serves classic Venetian dishes, like sarde in saor (sweet and sour sardines), using local ingredients. Osteria Enoteca San Marco (6-minute walk) is a surprisingly ultra-modern Italian bistro with a wonderful wine list amongst a sea of tourist traps. Getting lost in the narrow Venetian streets will be worth it once you find Ai Mercanti (7-minute walk), a haven for inventive dishes at a reasonable price.
