It’s no surprise that one of the world’s most famous chefs, Wolfgang Puck, is Austrian. The country’s cuisine has been updated from beer-soaked schnitzel (which is still a fine option, by the way) to a more sophisticated palate, and the proof is in the plethora of fine dining restaurants that have come on to the scene in the last ten years. Many of them are located in the outstanding hotels. Michelin is running out of stars to give.
