It’s no surprise that one of the world’s most famous chefs, Wolfgang Puck, is Austrian. The country’s cuisine has been updated from beer-soaked schnitzel (which is still a fine option, by the way) to a more sophisticated palate, and the proof is in the plethora of fine dining restaurants that have come on to the scene in the last ten years.
